Doings

People who enjoy what they are doing;
People who are in search of what they would enjoy doing;
People who dont know what they are doing.

I have dug myself a booby trap.

Dear Harry

Doesnt blogger actually does the autosave thingy? What happened to my previous entry? Argghhh

Harry's here!!! After a long 2-year wait, he has finally arrived! Gonna read it so damn super slow. Spent my morning in the office looking through Wikipedia to find out if dear Ron will still be surviving by the end of the book. And... well, quite a satisfactory ending. Me is happy. ^-^

Time is moving so slowly now. Since that fateful day, time in the office seems motionless. If I am given a topic, I believe I would be able to finish up a thesis before I leave. But then again, I should count myself lucky. As compared to those who are going to be stuck here (or elsewhere), I only have 11 more working days to go.

Had a gathering over at my place on Saturday. Guess my definition of gathering starts to differ from the rest, judging from the boredom on their faces. Or maybe, I am kinda getting domesticated. Nonetheless, Mdm Chong will always enjoy this kind of cosy gathering, unless of course if someone else has a better suggestion. I quite like munching on food and chatting away, although the TV programmes were kinda distracting. The last time my Jie Meis and I had one, we were pretty much enjoying it. The food + dessert + wine and with the company of Tony Leung and Kaneshiro Takeshi.

I remembered for a period of time, meet-ups for Allstars were at their all time low cos no one wanted to initiate and be responsible for all the planning (i.e checking out free slots, deciding on dinner venues, co-ordinating, getting last-min aeroplanes, deciding on after dinner activities etc). Somehow, the peculiar thing is that the person who initiates has to be the person who plans the entire itinerary for the day.

Mdm Chong is raising the white flag.

Remnants from KL

070807

The date to look out for!!! My official last day at work *muacks*. Our HR is indeed efficient. Just a day after tendering, I've attended my exit interview and now my leave and all have been pro-rated =). Something I truly love about my company.

Thought I can better utilise my time at work by uploading the KL pics. Cant seem to do so from work. The insert photo icon is missing! Argghhh.

Was on MC yesterday cos I was having bites all over (by bed bugs apparently) and finally had the time and mood to bring my laptop to fix. It's now running at a super cool speed with a super cool memory space of 100GB. The incredible thing is that it's still running on the WIN2000 OS.

Was feeling rather miserable when the guy told me that nothing from the partitioned back-up drive can be recovered and everything's gone! My instant response was to sms hubby if he had kept copies of my work done in Sydney. NO. OMG. I broke into cold sweat and quickly got home and went through the stack of cds/dvds. And to my surprise, back-up copies have always been kept under my pillow. Photos, work... everything. =.=''

Went through them and it brought back lotsa vivid memories of the 1.5 years spent in Sydney. That miraculous 1.5 years that had determined a different path in life for me. The future is still unknown, though the power of this unknown cannot be under-estimated.

As for now, I'm super looking forward to my trip on the 3rd and my happy departure from the Singapore Land of Sorrow on the 7th. And then... the cousins-only retreat on the 18th. Lovely people (headed by my lovely + sweet + pretty MM).

Liberation

Letter out since last thursday. Yuppie yuppie yuppie. So... I'm left with a month!! Less than a month, to be exact. =)

Just back from a short KL trip. Aside from the comfy bus rides to and fro, there was practically nothin much to rave about, except for our guesthouse which is pretty cool and the mass going-to-shower experience which I havent had for a long long time. This very first trip with the Kung Pow gang would most probably be my last too. And this might very well be my last trip to KL in the next few years to come. I guess I still prefer something radically different from the Singapore experience when it comes to travelling.

The next big thing to look forward to before leaving this increasingly spiritless office is my family trip to Bintan. I want to get a sun tan! Beach beach beach! Definately no bed bugs attack since we are staying at Angsana! I love my Dad. *Muacks*

Letter of the century

Looking forward to the 12th!!! OMG... this is amazing. I have been hanging there for the past 6 months! I cannot believe it. Anywayz, it's the final countdown. Yuppie! I cannot wait to prepare my hand over list (which is going to be extremely short) and I cannot wait to write the letter of the century plus the farewell notes to my co-workers. By the way, is it then ethical to la kopi everyday after officially calling it quits? Anywayz, with the BFC fraternity getting highly disintegrated, I suppose these BFC sessions would just be a rendezvous between The One and Ling and with the occasional appearance of Miss Mono-Boob. Wee wee wee. Ling feels like buying lunch for everyone in celebration of my farewell.

And... thanks to the 2 angels who were with me yesterday. I still wan to go to the beach!!! Sthg's wrong with blogger now and I cant seem to upload the series of pics we have taken yesterday. Anywayz, got to train up your stamina, folks!
