It's colours, colours and more colours!

Yellow stove (probably Mdm can cook yummier food with it), and check out that huge painting on the wall!!!

I know it's only ethical to quote the source but Mdm has been doing so much copying that she is now totally clueless where each came from.

And check out these cute hooks from ohdeedoh!

Just an hour ago, I realized 1 July is arriving (meaning our 2nd wedding anniversary is only minutes away and it has completely slipped off my mind!). This goes to show how preoccupied I am with things happening in the office lately.

Work rants

Mdm has been absent for a while. Not exactly busy but too much has happened (at work), plus, I have resumed Thai classes.

I have enjoyed every minute 80% of my time at work till now. Everyone has been great, helpful and often generous with compliments. Plus, I have been well taken care of as a foreign colleague. Like I always tell my boss, Vanessa is here to work and enjoy. Anyway, things are getting unpleasant for me now that problem of others are becoming mine. I cannot believe my boss can be this ridiculous to be channeling his frustrations to me. Enough said, Mdm had a showdown yesterday. It was a big relief. Who in the world gets to tell your boss to consider leaving his job bcos he don't deserve it. Who in the world gets to tell your boss right in the face that he's not a good leader. Who in the world gets to tell your boss to think of what he really want for his department and his life.

ME.

It's fryyyday

It has been a busy week. Mdm has resumed Thai classes in the morning since last week and my afternoons are spent catching up on work in the office. I have been waiting impatiently for Friday and I promised myself that I would make full use of my 6-feet bed this weekend.

Friday finally arrived!!!

Reconnecting or reconnected

We surrendered some money and penned on the sales agreement today. We are officially nested! =P

Mdm got a Friendster message from an old friend some time back. I visited my Friendster account out of the blue and saw her message. By then, I was like one whole month late (cos Friendster being Friendster i.e. the dated social networking platform, I have completely neglected its existence for the longest of all time). It was kinda like a hi-bye message. Anyway, we went on to add each other on Facebook and me being totally obsessed with Restaurant City, was busying myself arranging furniture, upgrading menu etc. and didn't put much effort in getting reconnected. Just today, I saw on my Facebook homepage that my friend has uploaded an album. It was, to my greatest surprise, her wedding album. I was like "OMG!".

It struck me only now that it wasn't just another hi-bye message and I realized I have been an unbelivable friend to Ms Lok. How often do you find yourself like me, being guilty of being an unappreciative jerk?

This... is IT!

* 2-STOREY
* 3 BEDROOMS
* 3 BATHROOMS
* 1 STUDIO
* 1 WALK-IN CLOSET
* 1 LIVING ROOM
* 1 DINING ROOM
* 1 KITCHEN
* 1 PANTRY
* 2 CAR PARK
* GROUND FLOOR AREA: 110.30 SQ.M.
* SECOND FLOOR AREA: 96.58 SQ.M.
* LAND AREA: 252 SQ.M.

We are placing our deposit today. In fact, we were there yesterday but hesitated b/c I was really interested in another project (B) that is super duper nice, has a very nice resorty like pool, but comes with a meagre-sized kitchen that is furnished with counter top that doesn't look like what I have wanted. We made a trip to project B to have a last look before we place our deposit on either one but sadly, the office was closed. And for the next few hours or so, we were sorting out our thoughts, making the one most difficult choice ever. So, we decided to go with our initial choice without taking a second look at project B (so as not to get swayed) and for the next 10 months, we would have to keep our fingers cross that the house would turn out just as it was rendered above.

The search is NOT over

We happened to be quite busy last Sunday: running errands, visiting fairs and then ended up in the sales office of development projects yet again. This is definitely going to be our last round. We have kinda visited every possible project!!! We came home very quiet that night and when P finally spoke, I was happy to find him as tempted as I was. You see, we visited this project that is sited at a perfect location and for some unknown reasons, houses are selling like hotcakes!!! What's not pushing us beyond temptation: 1. the site is currently as bare as a field and 2. showhousess are not ready yet. What then made the buyers invest even before seeing anything concrete, we wondered. I came home, scruntinised at the plans and realized that one of the house models includes an outdoor shower! This is perfect. This, as compared to the last project our eyes fell on, has bigger floor area but smaller land area. Sadly, the price is also steeper (by 1 mil฿). ARGH.

The showhouses will be ready in September. We will wait till then to decide if we should buy ourselves a huge birthday present this year.

On a separate note, check out this very interesting blog:

I would like to do this when I am preggie! =)
