Apology accepted
Mdm had a bad start this week when my second class was ruined by a student who wasn't concentrating and was a disturbance/ distraction. He was asked to leave but the born rebel refused to do so because "I paid for you to teach" (highly irrelevant I know). 2 days later, he actually came up to me and apologised.
Nothing is impossible.

Monday
Mdm just got back to work from my longest trip back home since I left Sg 2 years ago. This wasn't planned out to be a catching-up trip, but I did manage to spend some quality time with my folks and MM, saw the V girls on my first week over a crazy K session and managed to meet the aki folks before I left Singapore.
What left is a very tired me, many fond memories and a pinch of sadness.
Mdm is extremely moved by the care and concern showered on our family. Mummy is having a speedy recovery from her op and we are keeping our fingers crossed that her subsequent CT scan and its results will reveal that the new found mass in her liver is nothing of major concern.

Placelessness
Mdm havent taken the train for a while. While making my way to the hospital this noon, I was surprised to see that the train is now terminating at Joo Koon. I havent been downtown yet but I am sure it's looking less familiar now than ever.

Finally, good hawker food
MM and I.
Seriously, nothing beats sisterhood.
We made a trip to Chomp Chomp after our hospital visit on Saturday.
Yang and the humongous glass of sugarcane juice.
Mummy is starting to take liquids. She has made tremendous improvement since her op last Wednesday. At least a tube is removed each day and we are glad that she is high-spirited. Mdm hope that mummy can get back on her feet very soon.

Love is all around
Mummy's getting much better. She managed to sit up, adjust her sitting position (all on her own), and was engaged in gossipy talks in the afternoon. These are clear signs of improvements. Dad was practically the official spokesperson for the past 5 days. He was picking up calls, providing updates in a recorded message fashion etc. Mummy is blessed to be surrounded by so much care and love. As for now, everyone's keeping our fingers crossed till the results ready next week.

Sg, mummy, and sis's new Diana
One of the best (and weirdest) thing about getting back to Sg without P:
I feel truly at home!!!
We were told that mummy's op will be scheduled at 7 plus in the morning. Supposedly, the plan was to be there for her. My old man assured that we can hang around for a while after she enters the op theatre then get home for a rest in the afternoon. Her op will last anything from 2-6 hours, depending on the location of the tumour. I landed in Sg only tonight, after her admission, and I haven't gotten to see her yet. And mummy is the best, she brewed us some soup before she was admitted. So I got home to a house that's kept spick and span and a bowl of hot soup. My mum is the toughest mum ever, we're sure she will be back at her 100% very soon.
MM looks half in awe and half in perplexity when I presented her birthday gift, Diana. She flipped through the album and went
"Don't you think the photos looks eerie? And, she (the camera) has a human name."

If you haven't known it yet, FINA banned hi-tech suits from January 2010. Strangely, this very old piece of news popped up in my head:
